Ahh, yes Sebring Florida, is one of the hidden gems that many folks don’t know about in central Florida!

Today, we will discuss where Sebring Florida is, what this great city provides, what you can expect when living here, and all the fun activities that are available to anyone visiting or living in this small-town feeling city in central Florida.

So, grab your adventure bag, ball cap, and a snack, and let’s head out to see all that Sebring Florida has to offer!

Sebring “The City On The Circle” Details:

Sebring Florida is located in Highlands County and carries the nickname “The City On The Circle” due to the large circular drive that is in the center of downtown. The downtown area, where the circle is located, is full of small shops, diners, and fun places to window shop. The whole area is designated a 1920s Historic District by the National Registrar Of Historic Places and it really gives you the feeling that you are stepping back in time to the “old” Florida time frame.

City On The Circle

The Nickname “City On The Circle” Is Certainly The Appropriate Title For Sebring Florida!

Due to the city’s central location, Sebring does not have access to either of the two major highways that Florida has to offer, I-75 on the Gulf Coast and I-95 on the Atlantic Coast. However, the great part of the central location is that Sebring is right at 90 miles away from both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean in case you were looking to make it a beach day!

Mickey and The House Of The Mouse is just about the same distance away as the beaches with Disney being about 90 minutes away from the city as well making the central location of Sebring a fantastic one of day trip activities!

Size And Education:

Just over 11,000 folks call Sebring home full-time. However, we can say from personal experience that this number does increase quite a bit due to the large number of snowbirds who like to come down to this part of Florida to escape the frigid winters of the North.

If you have little ones in tow, Sebring does offer several quality schools, most notably Cracker Trail Elementary, as they have recently received an “A” grade for school quality and education from the Florida State Department of Education.

Things To Do In Sebring:

There is no shortage of fun activities to do within the Sebring city limits, take a look at these adventures:
